Friendship is magic is one of the most iconic phrases in pop culture. In recent years, the mantra for the My Little Pony franchise has become a testament for some. For others, it’s been a way to showcase their love of the beloved ponies. However, the residents of Equestria are set to have an even bigger adventure in the upcoming My Little Pony movie.

This time, the gang on My Little Pony is going to be transported to Netflix. In all honesty, this move seems a bit delayed as My Little Pony has been popular for so many years. It would only be right for the upcoming feature film to be broadcast on Netflix. The streaming platform has been dominating the internet for years along with the My Little Pony franchise.

Obviously, things in the land of Equestria haven’t always been sunshine and rainbows as the emergence of “bronies” has created controversy. Thankfully, “Bronies” seemed to have either kept their love to themselves or have decided to disappear from the internet. No matter what happened, it seems like this new feature film could be an entirely new direction for the fictional animals.

If you’re excited about the new upcoming film, then look no further as we have all the details you need to know about the next feature film, My Little Pony: A New Generation.

My Little Pony movie release date

This time, you won’t even have to leave your house to watch the new movie and that’s because it’ll be premiering on Netflix. As for the release date, Deadline has confirmed that My Little Pony: A New Generation will premiere on Sept. 24, 2021. Considering the film premiere on Friday, it could be a nice way to kick off your weekend.

My Little Pony movie synopsis

Unlike the popular ponies we’ve come to know, the film is going to focus on some new faces and an entirely new world for the equestrians. Directed by Robert Cullen and José L. Ucha, the movie features a world in which the different ponies: Earth ponies, Unicorns, and Pegasis are separated by their species and aren’t actually friends. No doubt friendship will become magic as two ponies of separate species team up to bring harmony back to the world.
