Weeks after players first got their hands on the updated Hawkmoon in Destiny 2, Bungie launched the Harbinger secret mission to give players the Hawkmoon Catalyst and a randomly rolled perk. But inside Harbinger is another set of objectives, a host of feathers hidden around the mission. By picking up the “Bird of Prey” quest and collecting the feathers, players can earn Crow’s new ship, the Radiant Accipiter.

Here’s how to find “Bird of Prey” and all the hidden locations for Feathers of Light inside Harbinger.

Note: If you’re unsure how to get through Harbinger, check out our guide.

Pick up ‘Bird of Prey’

You can pick up the “Bird of Prey” quest prior to completing Harbinger and earning your first randomly rolled Hawkmoon.

Head to Crow in the Tangled Shore — note there is no flashing quest icon for him. Talk to him and look toward the bottom of his inventory. You’ll notice an Exotic quest logo. Pick up “Bird of Prey” and head to Trostland in the EDZ to start Harbinger.

You can find several feathers throughout the mission. The locations change each week.

Hit the switch on the wall to open the gate

The first Feather of Light in the Week 1 rotation isn’t until after the jumping puzzle, right before you defeat the first Emissary.

In the long room, lower the Wizard Emissary’s health so they teleport away. Find their path and follow them. You’ll enter a room with a locked gate. If you look inside, you’ll see a bundle of feathers. Look to your left, at the wall. You’ll see a switch. Interact with the switch on the wall to open the gate. Walk inside to claim some Feathers of Light.

The first Feather of Light in the Week 2 rotations isn’t until after the jumping puzzle, right after you defeat the first Emissary.

Lower the Emissary’s health until you can chase them through the dam. Follow them into a broken room with multiple floors. When you defeat the Emissary, jump up to the second floor and look for a big box. The Feather of Light it sitting on the box.

Feather of Light 2 — Week 1

Just look above the pumps to find the walkway

The second bundle of Feathers of Light in the Week 1 rotation is just after you defeat the second Emissary.

Like you did with the Wizard Emissary, lower the Cabal Emissary’s health until they retreat. Follow them and defeat them. Inside their boss room, look up at the walkway (above the pumps). Jump up there and you’ll find some Feathers of Light.

The second bundle of Feathers of Light in the Week 2 rotation is just after you defeat the second Emissary.

Follow the Cabal Emissary through the dam and past the circle room. Defeat the Emissary and then look around for a cable box on the wall — depending on where you came in, it’s right next to the door. You’ll find some Feathers of Light sitting on the cable box.

Feather of Light 3 — Week 1

Climb all the way to the top for these feathers

The third bundle of Feathers of Light in the Week 1 rotation are just before you defeat the final Emissary.

Lower the Captain Emissary’s health in the long room and follow it. When you reach the circular room, climb up past the door you need to enter to find the Emissary. Keep climbing until you reach the top. The feathers are sitting on a box on the highest platform.

The third bundle of Feathers of Light in the Week 2 rotation is just after you defeat the final Emissary.

After you defeat the Captain Emissary, go out the back and follow the path until you reach the barred gate. The Feathers of Light are sitting on the ground next to the gate.

Survive cache

Keep progressing past the Emissaries and into the giant arena. Complete the Survive encounter and loot the chest before moving forward in Harbinger. You’ll get a big bundle of feathers from the chest.

Feather of Light 4 — Week 1

Look for the metal beams in the mushroom tunnel to find these feathers

From the Survive encounter in the Week 1 rotation, make your way into the mushroom cave. Press forward until you’re near the end. You’ll reach a large platform with some metal beams above you — some Taken spawn nearby, on the platform you eventually need to jump to, to try and kill you. On the large platform, under the metal beams, you’ll find the fourth bundle of feathers sitting on a box.

Feather of Light 4 — Week 2

From the Survive encounter in the Week 2 rotation, make your way into the mushroom cave. As soon as you take the portal in, climb up and backward. The Feather of Light is right above where you spawned in. It’s along the Week 1 path through the maze, if you’re familiar. The Taken Hobgoblin sniper is standing on it.

Feather of Light 5 — Week 1

Turn right immediately after defeating the Unstoppable Champion

The final feather bundle in the Week 1 rotation is just before the boss room. Defeat the Unstoppable Champion in the mushroom cave and lower the barrier to the Shard room. But instead of going in, turn right and follow the short path to a dead end. You’ll find some feathers here. Grab them before fighting Akorith.

Feather of Light 5 — Week 2

The final feather bundle in the Week 2 rotation is inside the boss room. At the very back of the room, you’ll see a Taken waterfall. The Feather of Light bundle is sitting at the base of the waterfall.

Akorith boss cache

Just like with the Survive cache, you’ll get a big bundle of Feathers of Light when you defeat Akorith by the Shard of the Traveler. It seems you’ll also get a second Hawkmoon drop while you’re working on the Bird of Prey quest.

Total Feathers of Light

If you complete the mission and collect all the Feathers of Light on a single character, you should end the week with 44 Feathers of Light out of 100 — meaning you’ll need two more weeks (three total) to earn the ship. You can only get Feathers of Light once a week per character.

If you run the mission again on your second or third characters, you’ll earn Feathers of Light from completing the Survive and Akorith encounters, but you won’t be able to pick up the hidden feathers. If you use multiple characters, you can earn enough Feathers of Light to get Crow’s ship after only two weeks.

Return to the Hawk of Light

Once you have all 100 Feathers of Light, you’ll need to return them to the Hawk of Light. You can mark the objective on your map but it won’t help much.

Head back to Trostland in the EDZ and go into the building where you start Harbinger. But instead of going through the fireplace, take the door out the back. You’ll be in the same area as the mission itself, but the path is far simpler. Follow the pipe and run through the dam until you reach the combat arena. Defeat the enemies and then climb up to the door and “commune with the Traveler.”

Follow the path and you’ll find a ship. You’ll find the Hawk of Light on the ship’s last week — the Hawk is slow, so you may need to wait for it to spawn in. Interact with the Hawk of Light to claim the Radiant Accipiter ship.
